Common Forms of Bakhoor
- Wood Chips: The most classic form. Agarwood is cut into chips or shavings and heavily soaked in various perfume oils.
- Compressed Tablets/Bricks: Also known as Mamoul, these are finely ground bakhoor ingredients pressed into small discs, which burn slowly and evenly.
- Powders & Resins: Powders are loose and designed to be sprinkled onto charcoal. Pure resins like frankincense or myrrh are also burned on their own or blended into bakhoor for a lighter, meditative experience.
